This is a committee not specifically established under the Bylaws. Rather it is derived from the Bylaws' Article VII, Section 1, item b: Additional standing committees may be created as needed, with duties defined by the Council.
The main thrust of this committee's activities has been to monitor the condition and policies of local schools and Anne Arundel public schools generally, reporting back its findings to the GSPC. Its current chair is Beth Slikker.
