GSPC Planning Survey - Available starting Wednesday 1/12/2011

All residents of the greater Severna Park area are encouraged to participate in the GSPC's second planning survey.   This survey will help us learn more about the residents of this area and make it possible for the GSPC to be a more focused and effective organization in articulating and defending residents' views.   Residents should complete the survey as soon as possible.  The GSPC Board of Directors will decide when to terminate the data collection - no sooner than the date of the March GSPC meeting (March 8).

In general, those residents eligible to participate live within the following limits to the GSPC's area of interest: south to Joyce, north to Brightview/Obrecht, west to Veterans Hwy, East to Balt.-Annap (in north, east of Ritchie Hwy, and west of Peninsula Farm Road on the Broadneck peninsula).  If you have any questions about eligibility or the survey, please email Dan Nataf who is coordinating the survey and also supports the GSPC Web site.

This website contains a range of useful information:

The Council is led by a slate of elected officers, who are assisted by elected directors and appointed chairs of committees.

Minutes of GSPC delegate meetings are available  and are current through December 2010.  Recent GSPC Board meeting minutes are also available through July 2009.

A list of the member organizations is available, as is a discussion about how to join the GSPC.  New communities are urged to join, as are individuals (whose rights are limited).

The GSPC primarily tracks land use, public works, recreation and education issues and legislation.  It may occasionally undertake specific projects (described in the section on "projects").

The GSPC envisions this Web site to eventually be a repository of useful information about important issues, as well as a portal to other Anne Arundel websites related to the GSPC by topic or geography.

The GSPC Bylaws define the structure and operation of the Council.
